Many pets live their lives day to day dealing with environmental, physical or emotional stress and everyone deserves a well needed moment of relaxation. A massage is just the perfect method for that.
Our pets do have stress, in addition to their own; they feed off of your energy. If you’re experiencing life, family or physical stresses, then you can bet your dog is feeling it too. Although your dog deals with their stress by: chewing, digging and hyperactivity, which can add to your stress creating a vicious cycle. But in 20 minute once or twice a week you can reduce the over all household stress while minimizing problematic behaviors from your dog while supporting their spiritual/emotional/physical health.
In addition, giving a massage can be just as relaxing as getting a massage; this can be a great bonding experience for you both. It will relax your mind and body, giving you a break, and is pleasurable for your dog. Concentrate on LITE HANDS! Do not go to deep into the muscle, a relaxation massage is smooth and gentle touch designed to improve circulation, range of movement, relief minor muscle pain, and promote overall relaxation. It can be a gentle mixture of light stretching, stoking and kneading in order to release the tension from the fibrous bands of the muscles, bones, nerves and joints. It is great for young and old, sick or health, as it adds to the over all stabilization and can restore total harmony.
You can learn more on technique by attending a class offered. See scheduled time and locations on the website. We offer both Massage and Acupressure for general wellness or for geriatric dogs.
